8TH GRADE DANCE – Help plan the 8th grade dance at the end of the year.
DR. MARTIN LUTHER KING JR. DAY OF SERVICE – Help the school event organizers with donations and volunteers.
END OF YEAR STAFF LUNCHEON – Plan the end of year luncheon for the school staff.
FAIR TRADE – Plan activities, sales and fundraisers to educate our community about Fair Trade and help us maintain our Fair Trade School designation.
F.A.R.E. (FAMILY ALLIANCE FOR RESPECT & EQUITY) – Committee meets with the Penncrest FARE Group monthly. Learn and discuss topics surrounding diversity. Plan community events to help promote and encourage diversity awareness, provide family support, build relationships, and create deeper unity and understanding within our school and surrounding community. p
FUNDRAISING – Plan and schedule fundraisers (Restaurant Nights, Family Outings) to support our students and school.
GRADE REPRESENTATIVES TO PTG - represent the parents of your grade at PTG meetings throughout the year, help facilitate communication, concerns and needs between families, the PTG and the school.
SCHOOL STAFF APPRECIATION – Plan and solicit volunteers and donations for staff appreciation events throughout the year and during Staff Appreciation Week in May.
SCHOOL STORE – Manage the school store, plan and purchase merchandise. Solicit adult volunteers to help cover open shifts when PHS volunteers are unable to run the store.
SPIRIT WEAR – Plan and organize Spirit Wear sales during the year and at school events. Coordinate supply needs with the school store coordinator.
SUPERINTENDENT’S ADVISORY BOARD - A group consisting of two parents from each RTMSD school meet with the Superintendent and other representatives from the administration and schools three times throughout the year to discuss district related issues. SAB meetings are usually held at the Education Center in October, January, and April, and are 2-hours in length. The representatives then report back to the PTG during general meetings.
TURKEY TROT - Work with the school organizers to solicit adult volunteers and donations of turkey as well as purchase needed supplies for the event.
